Come learn how sign language can benefit you and your young child. Easy and fun classes will enhance bonding and promote new ways for your child to communicate. Baby Sign: Tuesdays 9:30-10:15am (Ages 6-12mo) (Jan. 20th- Feb. 10) The goal for this class is a less frustrated baby, as he/she learns how to get their needs met. Research shows that a child as young as 6 months old can begin to learn signs. We will teach you, the parent, how to empower your baby to communicate with you, using sign language. Materials included in this class is an Activity Guide with a CD of fun, simple songs. (This class is for parent and baby) $65 with out materials. $80 includes book and CD. Sing and Sign: Mondays 11-11:45am (Ages18-36 months) (Jan. 19th- Feb.9) The goal for this class is to teach toddlers how to use sign language, so that they can participate in activities, even before they are fully verbal. Toddlers love songs with gestures and movement, so they will quickly learn 20-30 different signs naturally while playing, singing and dancing. Teaching your toddler to sign through music builds a strong foundation for later language development. Materials included in this class is an Activity Guide with a CD of fun, simple songs. (This class is for parent and child) $50. |
